Twitter review

Band - Linkin Park

Introduction - As we have created our own Twitter account for our band, we need to also look at the ones other bands have for further planning and ideas on how to use it.

Purpose - Our Twitter account will be used to keep our followers informed on our progress, as well as joining in conversation and airing our own views regarding music and music videos. We will aim it at our target audience of people around the same age group with similar tastes in music, and hope it appeals to them. For comparisons we will use the Twitter account of the band whose song we are using.

Design - At time of writing the main design behind the Linkin Park account is promoting their performance on public television in February at a charity event, with both their header and background picture of this. They haven't released a single or studio album in a while so I imagine this is why this isn't the focal point of promotion on this Twitter, like how on our blog our finished poster will be the background picture and maybe a picture of our 'band' for the header.

Content - The content of Linkin Park's website is a wide range of things, including posting pictures from both past (for the more senior Linkin Park fans and nostalgia) and present, promoting signings and upcoming shows, releases such as singles and their upcoming charity show. We will follow a similar style, posting pictures from our shoots and promoting our fictional upcoming album but also interacting with other people who speak to us on Twitter which is something Linkin Park don't do.
