Causes of Risk:
Wires and Equipment
Camera
Wet Surface
Instruments
General Risks
Wires and equipment would be a risk as you may trip over them and cause yourself harm or damage the equipment. To prevent this we could tape down wires or move them to one side. Also general awareness whilst filming would be helpful.
The camera can cause some risk as it would be easy to drop. The risk of harm here is for the camera rather than personnel. Cameras can be fragile making them easy to break. To prevent this while filming the cameraman will have to wear the hand strap from the camera at all times.
Wet surface and floor is an obvious hazard. wet floors can cause people to slip. Also it is a risk for the wires that may be running nearby too. If you are holding a camera and slip it is a risk to the equipment as well. To prepare for and prevent this we should check the immediate area of filming for wet surface before getting into shooting. Also if a wet surface is found whilst filming we should let everyone know and perhaps move to a different location.
Some instruments are heavy making them difficult to carry to location. This is a risk as it could cause trips and falls. Another risk with the instruments would be having them in bad weather causing damage to the instruments. To prevent this we might only film with instruments indoors or on clear days. We shall also wear the instruments straps to prevent dropping them,
